Experiment 16.1
Installing the Apache web server is very easy to do.
Simply
- point your browser to The Apache
Software Foundation
- click on HTTP Server
- click on Download
- click on Unix Source to obtain the .tar.gz file
- click on Save As
- put your .tar.gz file in a convenient directory
- from that directory
type ./configure
- go get a cup of coffee or a soda
- type make
- type make install
