Course Objectives: This course examines many of the concepts and tools needed to administer a site on the World Wide Web. We will cover several topics:

  • XHTML and CSS
  • CGI scripts using PHP
  • XHTML forms
  • Server installation and configuration
  • JavaScript
  • Ajax
  • Web applications (with Ruby on Rails)
  • Legal and ethical issues
