Assignment 03: Links and Lists

A List of Links

Create new files assignment03.html and assignment03.css.

Create a list of links with at least two levels of lists and seven links in all. You might use the top level list to describe categories; e.g., "Sports sites", "Shopping sites", "Bookmark sites", etc. Then on the second level, you can put in links to your favorite sites. (I'd show you an example here, but that'd be doing the work for you!)

Make multiple copies of the list with these variations:

  • Default unordered lists, and default links.
  • Unordered lists with different bullets, and links without underlines.
  • Unordered lists with an image used for the bullets, and links always the same color.
  • Unordered top level, but plain, ordered second levels, and default links.
  • Unordered top level, but ordered second levels using a non-arabic numbering scheme, and default links.

Finally, pick your favorite three links, and put them in an unordered list with this formatting:

  • Inline list items, spaced appropriately; each link is usually the same color (visited or unvisited), but it appears in "reverse video" when hovering over it.

Make sure your XHTML document validates.
