Lab 8: Instructor's Notes
The experiments for this lab exercise are short enough that students
should be able to finish them. They are also rather intertwined, so
picking and choosing is rather difficult.
Here are:
- Prelab Questions designed to check if
students have read through the lab exercise in preparation for doing the lab exercise. However, as noted before, they may, alternatively, be used as
"postlab" exercises that test how well the students understood the lab
exercise.
- The lab home page
- Here is a beam-deflection project and grade
sheet used by the author for a programming project dealing
with parameters. It involves moving a point along the beam and
calling a function at each point that calculates three kinds of
deflection at that point and passes them back via parameters to
main where they are output in a table form.
- Other programming projects
from or in addition to those in the textbook that tie in with the material in
this lab exercise.
Also, A gradesheet
that might be used with one of these projects.
