The Calvin College Department of Computer Science invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to begin August 2019 and strongly encourages applications from women and other under-represented groups.
Applicants should have a PhD (or be near completion) in computer science or a related area, or have a master’s degree and 5 years of related experience. The CS department is particularly interested in expanding its expertise in the areas of data science and visualization, computer security, or 3D modeling & animation, but individuals from all computing-related areas are encouraged to apply.
Calvin faculty members are expected to demonstrate excellent teaching ability, and have a track record of (or strong potential for) scholarly work.

Calvin faculty members normally teach 22-24 semester hours per year. They are expected to pursue an active scholarly agenda, to advise undergraduates, and to serve on college and departmental committees.
