Build an ERD for the grading information system we looked at in project 1. As you recall, we looked only at the students, passwords, courses and sections, ignoring all the scores, assignments and exams. Be sure to include the primary keys and cardinality constraints.

Personal Database Project

Create a preliminary ERD for your chosen semester project. You may still be unsure about what your project will be, but pick a tentative topic and work with it. This is the design stage at which many of the key details of your domain will come out and this will help you make the final choice.

What to turn in

Submit your entire solution in Word format by the beginning of our next lab period using Knightvision. See the grading page for a reminder of how to do this. As with last week, the drawing of the ERD might be a bit of a pain, but it should be reasonably easy using Word or Powerpoint's drawing features.
