A Simple Payroll table

For this project you will produce a simple payroll table that computes salaries for employees based on an hourly wage, regular hours and time-and-a-half for overtime. You'll also handle taxes and sort the results.

Start by downloading this raw payroll data and saving it on your H: drive. Then, modify the spreadsheet so that it looks something like this sample solution sheet, but with appropriate formatting. NOTE: The data in the example is different from the data you are using. Remember to use formulas/functions as appropriate.

Some things to note:

• Gross Pay is computed by as follows: hourly wage times regular hours, plus overtime hours times the wage times the overtime rate (1.5 indicates "time and a half").
• Tax is gross pay times the "tax rate."
• Net pay is gross pay minus the tax.

In your final solution, check that you meet these criteria:

• Compute totals for each of the gross, tax and net columns in the appropriate cells.
• Sort the data by decreasing net pay.
• Cells containing currency should be formatted as such.
• Use absolute and relative addresses as appropriate.
