cs344 → reasoningOverTime
Students who complete this unit will demonstrate that they can:
- Describe the complexities of temporal probabilistic
reasoning.
- Describe the relationship between preferences and utility
functions.
- Explain how utility functions and probabilistic reasoning can
be combined to make rational decisions.
- Describe and explain the use of Hidden Markov Models (HMMs)
for filtering, prediction, smoothing and decoding of temporal models.
- Design and implement an HMM as one example of a temporal
probabilistic system.
