Initial Statement ¶
Re-read D. Schuurman’s Technology and the Biblical Story, focusing on the “Technology and the Fall” section (pages 6–7).
Post a statement to Forum 6 on Moodle. Like the previous forum posts, the statement should be one or two paragraphs, written in clear academic style. It should:
- Define the following terms: technicism; reductionism (this latter term is included in the previous section of the paper).
- Explain what Schuurman means when he says that technology has fallen.
- Indicate whether or not you agree with Schuurman on this point. (Remember that thoughtful disagreement is more valuable than thoughtless agreement.)
- Include one concrete example in your statement, not taken from the reading, that illustrates your position.
