Initial Statement ¶
Re-read D. Schuurman’s Technology and the Biblical Story, focusing on the “What is Technology?” and “Technology and Creation” sections (pages 5–6).
Post a statement to Forum 4 on Moodle (the forum number corresponds to the week number when it’s assigned). Like the previous forum posts, the statement should be one or two paragraphs, written in clear academic style. It should:
- Explain what role Schuurman sees technology playing in the cultural mandate
- Indicate whether or not you agree with his interpretation of Genesis 1:28. (Remember that thoughtful disagreement is more valuable than thoughtless agreement.)
- Include one concrete example, not taken from the reading, that illustrates your position.
