Project Connect staff will contact students periodically after
the course is over to help maintain the relationship and to
provide system support. During the visit, we will do the
following:
- Check the installation and administration of the machine to
ensure that:
- The is machine up and running
- It is connected to the Internet, if the family wants it
to be
- It is properly protected from mal-ware and attacks of all
sorts, with updated software and virus/ad-ware definitions
- They are doing backups as appropriate
- Answer any questions the Connect student has on the
administration or use of the machine.
- Get answers for the following questions:
- How, if at all, have the family members been using the
machine
- Were they happy with the Connect training sessions
- Would they be interested in further courses of any
kind
We will make a personal visit on the invitation of the Connect
student only, and will always visit in pairs.
