Once you have determined that the citation is for a government document, you can search the library's database using WebCat. Follow the steps below to determine if the library owns the government document.

1- Select the Exact or Browse button
2- Type the title of the government document in the text box
3- Click on the Title button to search the Title Index in WebCat

If a match is found, WebCat will display a call number that looks similar to the following example. Note the unusual characters in a government document call number. If slashes or colons are in the call number, the item is a government document. Everything with a Location of GOVDOC can be found on the second floor, near the elevator. These materials can be difficult to locate. Please ask for assistance if you can't find an item.
