Creation Regained: Disciplinary Perspectives is a new book applying the Christian worldview concepts from Creation Regained by Albert Wolters. Creation Regained has been described as the best introduction to a Christian worldview and its influence continues to endure.
This new book, published in 2026 by Dordt Press takes the worldview concepts laid out in Creation Regained and applies them to a wide variety of academic disciplines. Some of the disciplines include engineering, mathematics, history, political science, music, and physical science, to name a few.
Stay Tuned: A book launch event is planned at Redeemer University on March 1, 2027.
It is my hope that these penetrating essays will serve as a model and an encouragement for others in the academy to forge a distinctively Christian academic path in their own disciplines, and in this way to make visible something of Christ’s kingship in the world of scholorship.
—Albert M. Wolters, Emeritus Professor of Religion, Redeemer University and author of Creation Regained
The earlier generations of neo-Calvinists issued what were for many of us exciting promissory notes about the kind of multi-disciplinary scholarship that could result from a vision of a “creation regained.” In this wonderful book we see those promises being fulfilled in marvelous ways.
—Richard Mouw, President Emeritus, Fuller Theological Seminary
An article appeared in Christian Courier back in 2014 titled “The Academy Regained” about the genesis of this project and how it started as a seed at Redeemer University with a group of colleagues who banded together to form an grassroots faculty reading group. Just over a decade later, the book was finally completed, edited by Russell Kosits and published by Dordt University. The book is now available from Dordt Press or in Canada from Redeemer’s 21five bookstore and other online book retailers.
