Lab 5: Instructor's Notes

The entire lab many be too long for a single lab session, so perhaps the maintenance can be done as part of a homework or project assignment.

Alternatively, you might have the students work on the questions in the exercise before the lab session; these run through the meters-to-feet algorithm that precedes the Maintenance section.

• Prelab Questions designed to check if students have read through the lab exercise in preparation for doing the lab exercise.

• A programming project to complete/expand the metric library is described here. You may wish to make this a group project with a different person (or persons) working on one of the groups of functions described in the table. You might then have each group submit one complete library, including an extension of the driver from the lab exercise to test all of the functions.
• A gradesheet used by the author for the project assigned.
