Joe McClure (BCS, 2005) and his wife Nathalie (Geology, 2005) are serving with the Peace Corps in a rural village in El Salvador, Central America.

Joe is teaching grades 7-11 in a school in the village. Though the village itself has no water or electricity, the school received money from the Ministry of Education to build a computer lab with 10 computers, solar panels to power them, and a satellite dish for Internet connectivity. Joe’s main project is teaching IT literacy and he reports that he has some seriously motivated students and that everyone is excited about learning anything associated with technology.
