David Vos (BA in CS, 2002) and his father, Tom Vos (BA in Soc/Psyc, 1972), have formed Optasia Ministry Inc., a non-profit specializing in Bible software for the blind. Tom’s blindness has forced him, as a pastor, “to find new ways of accessing Bibles and Bible study resources; now we’ve found a way to make them more widely available.” US copyright law allows Optasia (Greek for “vision, an alternate way of seeing”) to distribute theses materials without permissions or fees, and as part of this project, David leveraged work by other Calvin alumni at BibleGateway.com For more information about this ministry or to access their freely available resources, see their website: www.OptasiaMinistry.org.
