Strategic Partners Council
The purpose of the Strategic Partners Council is to create a support network for the students and faculty in the Department of Computer Science at Calvin College. Its membership, which consists of 10-12 individuals selected from the various professional constituencies that the department serves, will serve as:
- Advisors
-providing counsel and expertise to the department by offering a critical and constructive review of its programs, activities, students and faculty - Advocates
-promoting the department and its mission within the member’s sphere of influence, including the recruitment of potential students, the placement of graduates, and the identification of sources for financial and technical support
It is expected that the department and council will assist each other with mutual advice and advocacy. The council meets twice per year to address substantive issues in the life of the department.
