The Steven DeRose Family Scholarships

The Steven DeRose Family Scholarships are funded by an endowment graciously provided by Dr. Steven DeRose. The scholarship is awarded to a strong first year student majoring in computer science, and is automatically continued for the second year, provided the student continues to meet the scholarship’s requirements. Interested high school students should apply in the Spring semester of their senior year, before their first year at Calvin.

The completed application may be submitted via e-mail or via postal mail.

Dr. DeRose is a world-class expert on technologies for electronic documents, including markup systems; information retrieval; hypertext/hypermedia; version and edition management; distributed annotation and review systems; digital libraries, archiving, and preservation. We gratefully thank him for his generosity in funding this scholarship.
