CPSC-101: Computing Concepts

Fall, 2001, 1st session

Course Objectives:   This course gives a gentle introduction to computers and computing. Our primary goals will be to learn what a computer really is, how it works, and how to interact confidently with one. To achieve these goals, we'll study:

In this course, we will cover this material in lectures and in hand-on lab sessions based on Windows and Microsoft Word. We will also attempt to place the material in its proper Christian context.

Note: This course is similar enough to the new RIT course that it might not make sense to take them both. Take RIT if you are coming in under the new core - take CPSC-101 if you are finishing up a degree under the old core.
