The Storyboard

A storyboard is a visual description of a project with a picture and brief description for each shot. This is where you work out and document the visual design, camera shots, timing, dialog, and other elements of your project.

Please use this template (from Ronald-Kaiser.com) and fill out a box for each shot. If your shots average 5 seconds and you are creating a 2-minute animation, that will be 24 shots on 8 pages.

On the due date your group should turn in a photocopy of the storyboard so you can keep a copy for yourself to use in production. You'll also present it to class for feedback. One person in the group should page through the images at the appropriate speed while the others read the dialog or desribe the action (or act it out!). In this way we can get a sense of your planned project.
