What Is It?
This seminar explores a range of current topics in computing, including topics in research and practice.
- Freshmen and sophomores must enroll in CS 195 at least three times.
- Juniors and seniors must enroll in CS 295 at least three times.
Requirements
For Spring 2012, attend at least
sixfour
computing-related talks during the semester. Towards this end:
- Qualifying and mandatory talks.
- The Computer Science Department will host at least three or four talks each semester as part of this seminar. Some of these will be mandatory.
- Some other talks on campus may qualify as "computing related". (If you know of such a potential talk, you must contact the seminar coordinator at least a week in advance to get it approved.)
- Attendance will be taken at the talk with your signature.
