Course Policies - Syllabus

In this course we will take a step back from the hurly-burly technical details of computer science and contemplate larger issues: legal, ethical and professional issues in computer science, intellectual property, privacy, risks of computing, social effects and justice issues in computing, AI and personhood, and, in all of this, the relationship of computer science to Christianity. The course work will consist of readings, written critiques, discussion, classroom activities such as staged debates or mock trials, and a written final project and presentation.

Prerequisite: senior status in a computer science-related program of concentration.
