• These are the tools required for lab 1.
• Teams communication
  • Post a message to the class (lab 1.1).
  • We’ll also use MSTeams for synchronous video meetings.
• GoogleColab / Notebook - Temporary (to be replaced in Module 4)
  • Draft a non-binding design document (e.g., SLO).
    • Product design (what? & why?)
      • Background - What are the users’ needs?
      • Value proposition - Why should the users care? (Cf. DMLS p. 26-28.)
      • Objectives - What are the concrete sub-goals?
      • Solution - What do we implement (and not implement)? (Cf. DMLS p. 3; Figure 1-3.)
      • Feasibility - Is this project tractable?
    • Systems design (how?)
      • Data - What data do we need? Can we get it?
    • Code cell (to demonstrate that we can!)
• CLI
  • Install a Linux CLI (used later for Git & Python scripting).
